The interactions between Union citizenship, free movement of persons, and EU values"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Abstract (ITA)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il presente contributo analizza il rapporto tra la libera circolazione delle persone, che \u00e8 l\u2019aspetto pi\u00f9 visibile e apprezzato della cittadinanza europea, e i valori di cui all\u2019articolo 2 TUE, che costituiscono l\u2019identit\u00e0 legale dell\u2019Unione europea. Si esaminer\u00e0 dunque in primo luogo come quei valori permeino lo sviluppo della cittadinanza europea e condizionino la possibilit\u00e0 di esercitare i diritti di libera circolazione. In secondo luogo, ci si concentrer\u00e0 sul ruolo della libera circolazione come strumento di mediazione dei conflitti valoriali e di protezione dei valori europei nei contesti giuridici nazionali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract (ENG)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This paper reflects on whether, how, and with what effects does free movement of persons, that is the most visible and cherished aspect of Union citizenship, interact with the values enshrined in Article 2 TEU, that define the normative identity of the EU. The contribution in particular examines on the one hand, how those values shape EU citizenship so that the respect for those values conditions the possibility to exercise the rights attached to EU citizenship.
